Ethical Policy

As a leading importer and distributor to the UK food market, Caterers Choice is committed to developing long term partnerships with our suppliers, to ensure the suppliers have fair and honest standards which do not compromise either local labour laws or the health & safety of employees.

It is expected that suppliers to Caterers Choice will comply with the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code. This code states that:

• no forced labour is used
• suppliers maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
• child labour is not used
• wages meet national legal standards or industry benchmark standards, whichever is higher
• there is no discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, caste, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation.
• no harsh or inhumane treatment of workers is allowed.

Caterers Choice is very aware of our responsibility with regard to ethical trading and will endeavour to continually review our business and supply chain to ensure this policy is upheld.
